By Paul Kopsky The Marquette Mustangs continue to amaze coach Laura Blechle with their level of success this season. With Monday's 2-1 nine-inning win over Lafayette in a district championship game, the Mustangs are still very much alive in the hunt for a state title. "I thought this was going to be a .500 season, but it turned out to be an 18-9 season," said Blechle. "Not only were they conference champs--that was a big goal for us--[but] being district champs is just icing on the cake. So anything after this is just wonderful for us." In Monday's game, Katy Hejlek's run-scoring double in the second inning gave the Mustangs a 1-0 lead. Lafayette tied the game in the fourth, and the game remained tied, 1-1, until the ninth. The Mustangs put runners at first and third with one out for Chrissy Jacoby, who singled in the game- winning run. Marquette now gets set to face Eureka in Thursday's sectional at
